Southside CHI-TOWN stand up…

Wassup y’all!  We made it from Chi-town after a quick pit-stop into Pittsburgh.  It was good to see my family (mom, dad, brother, sister-in-law, and nephews).  The nephew are growing fast!  Time is flying; and we are most definitely having fun on our travels.  I know that it has been a while, so we have a lot of things to say/post.  Thanks again to everyone that has been tuning in over the past few weeks.  We have received a great deal of encouragement and positive feedback.  Please keep in touch.

Enjoy some of the photos and video from our brief excursions in Chi-town so-far.  Below you will see some footage from our trip to the 80th ANNUAL BUD BILLIKEN PARADE.  This parade is HUGE (the second largest in the United States).  The marching bands/steppers/gymnastic flippers/drill teams were absolutely incredible. I was very proud to see all those young people striding forward – heads high and raised to the sky!  Unfortunately, our video camera ran out of battery power almost as soon as we got there, so we didn’t get a chance to capture much of the festivities.

We also have more video coming from our trip to the BLACK OAKS CENTER FOR SUSTAINABILITY (coming soon…hopefully tonight).  We are staying with co-founders, Fred, Jifunza, and their son Akin.  The family is beautiful; and their work is totally necessary.
